
AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 24th FEBRUARY 2026 — The Rotary Premier League (RPL) 1.0, a first-of-its-kind Day–Night Ground Cricket Tournament organised under Rotary District 3055 and hosted by the Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline, concluded on a high note after four days of thrilling cricket, fellowship, and community bonding.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 8 teams, with a total of 17 matches played over a span of 4 days, showcasing remarkable talent, sportsmanship, and Rotary spirit.
What made RPL 1.0 truly unique was its multi-generational participation, with players ranging from 13 years to 65 years of age, reflecting Rotary’s ethos of inclusiveness, mentorship, and unity across age groups.
Rotary Skyline Patrons emerged as the Champions of RPL 1.0, displaying exceptional teamwork and consistency throughout the tournament, while Rotary Skyline Strikers secured the Runners-Up position after an impressive performance.
The event was successfully led by District Sports Chair Rtn. Saurabh Khandelwal, whose vision and dedication were instrumental in conceptualising and executing this large-scale sporting initiative. The organising team received strong support from Vice Chair Rtn. Jay Parekh, Club President Rtn. Jagender Gupta, and Secretary Rtn. Vishal Shah, along with numerous Rotarians and volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
RPL 1.0 brought together Rotarians, families, and supporters from across clubs, strengthening inter-club relationships while promoting fitness, fellowship, and friendly competition. The enthusiastic turnout of members and spectators added vibrancy and encouragement to the players throughout the tournament.
Speaking on the occasion, organisers expressed gratitude to all participating clubs, Rotarians, sponsors, and supporters for contributing to the success of the event, noting that RPL 1.0 has set a strong foundation for future district-level sporting initiatives.
