AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 28th AUGUST 2026 | Renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and widespread destruction caused by the devastating floods in Nepal following the collapse of a glacier on August 26.
The scale of the disaster has been immense, with hundreds of people losing their lives and the extent of the damage continuing to emerge. Images and videos from the affected areas have shown the devastating impact of the floods and the suffering of those caught in the disaster.
Deeply moved by the tragedy, Morari Bapu has conveyed his condolences to the people of Nepal and offered assistance of Rs. 51 lakh for relief efforts.
Of the total amount, Rs. 11 lakh will be deposited with the Indian Prime Minister’s Relief Fund through Chitrakutdham Talgajarda, while Rs. 40 lakh will be contributed to the Nepal Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. The financial assistance to the Nepal Prime Minister’s Relief Fund will be facilitated by a Ram Katha listener based in Mumbai.
Morari Bapu also prayed at the feet of Lord Hanuman for the people in India and across the world who have lost their lives in the tragedy.
