ABB India’s Vadodara Campus
ABB has been carrying out operations from the Maneja, Vadodara manufacturing facility for more than 60 years. This 55-acre campus in Maneja, which is ABB India’s largest manufacturing location in India also houses a world class testing center, research and development facility and a well-equipped training center for customers and employees. The Vadodara campus employs more than 1300 employees and has played a significant role in the industrial landscape of the country. ABB’s Vadodara campus is actively contributing to advanced manufacturing in the industrial and energy sectors in the country. In this location, we have –
- A factory for large motors and generators which are deployed in various segments ranging from oil and gas, transportation, solar & wind other industry sectors, critical for India’s growth and energy transition, the path to net zero and achieving 500GW of renewable energy by 2030 and Make in India for World initiative.
- A factory that manufactures distribution solutions for data centers, power segments for industries and transport & power sector.
- Factory for traction solutions for railways that manufacturers key propulsion technology through traction solutions for the new age electrified semi high-speed Indian Railways trains and metros.

Recent expansion and upgrades with modernized and automated shopfloors
Recent expansion at the Vadodara location includes:
- Drives services workshop is set to double its service capacity with scope to expand by setting up drives service workshop in the campus. The facility will cater to the various industrial sectors of Gujarat complementing with quick service and partnering companies to enhance efficiency of existing processes.
- Traction motor division is planning to bring in significant investment and expand their footprint in Vadodara location for locomotives and metro projects.
- The Large Motors and Generators division are also set up for an expansion to cater to domestic and emerging markets.
