MATTER Pledges Mobility Transformation with Manufacturing Excellence, Acceleration, and Innovation
Ahmedabad, 05th April 2025: Marking a major milestone in its journey toward accelerated manufacturing and sustainable mobility, MATTER proudly announces the inauguration of its first world class Manufacturing Hub in Changodar, Ahmedabad. Shri.Bhupendrabhai Patel,Honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat, inaugurated the facility, setting the stage for a new era in electric mobility in India. Designed to drive manufacturing excellence, accelerate production, and foster innovation, the hub is instrumental in delivering Worlds first manufactured geared electric motorbike, the MATTER AERA, and shaping the future of sustainable mobility.
The event was also graced by Shri Govindbhai Dholakia, Honourable Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, along with esteemed dignitaries, industry partners, and MATTER’s leadership team.
Spanning 2.25 lakh square feet, the MATTER Manufacturing Hub integrates next-generation manufacturing practices including Industry 4.0. The facility houses powerpack, powertrain and vehicle assembly lines, alongside a rigorous torture test track, ensuring precision manufacturing and durability. Built on the principles of vertical integration and lean manufacturing, the plant is set to uphold the highest quality standards and operational efficiency.
Currently, the facility produces 25 vehicles per day in a single shift and will scale up to an annual capacity of 1,20,000 units to meet growing demand across India.
With this new facility, MATTER is set to scale production, enhance innovation in EV powertrains and batteries, reinforcingIndia’s transition toward sustainable mobility solutions. The MATTER Manufacturing Hub will be pivotal in delivering next-generation electric motorbikes, aligning with‘Viksit Bharat’ vision while further strengthening Gujarat’s leadership in EV manufacturing.
As a testament to its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, MATTER is offering an AERA motorbike to the Gir forest authorities. This initiative will empower forest rangers with quiet, zero-emission mobility, ensuring minimal disruption to wildlife while enhancing patrol efficiency and conservation efforts.

The MATTER Manufacturing Hub serves as a key pillar in accelerating EV adoption across India. Supporting initiatives like “Make in India” and “Innovate in India”, the facility will create 2,000 jobs over the next three years, fulfilling MATTER’s commitment under the Vibrant Gujarat 2022 MOU.
