Bengaluru 04 December 2024: The Bengaluru Cyber Crime Police have successfully cracked a ₹5.5 crore fraud case involving e-commerce platform Meesho, arresting three individuals from Gujarat. Acting on a First Information Report (FIR) filed by Meesho on July 1, 2024, the Bengaluru Cyber Cell conducted a swift and thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Meesho’s Trust and Safety team first identified the fraudulent activities and promptly escalated the matter to law enforcement. The police team acted decisively, leveraging advanced investigative techniques to uncover the details of the operation, which involved large-scale fraudulent returns and false refund claims.
