Gujarat, Ahmedabad 18 March 2025: As part of the Ecopreneur Episode on Shark Tank India 4, ECOIL, a Rajasthan-based startup that’s developed an innovative solution for recycling used food oil is set to feature. Founded by Sushil Vaishnav and Kirti Vaishnav, the company collects used food oil and converts it into biodiesel, reducing the risk of oil adulteration and promoting a healthier environment. The journey of ECOIL began when Sushil and Kirti, who met and got married in Rajasthan, discovered the alarming amount of waste oil generated by restaurants and food establishments. After working together in various supply chains and blockchains, they returned to Jaipur in November 2019 and started ECOIL.
ECOIL’s innovative approach has already made a significant impact, with 1.6 crore kg CO2 emission saved by collecting 75 lakh liter waste oil till date. The company’s founders are now looking to expand their operations and are seeking an investment of 1 crore for 2.5% equity on Shark Tank India.
While talking about the experience on Shark Tank India 4 Kirti Vaishnav said “We were shocked to discover the massive amount of waste oil generated by the food industry. Recognizing an opportunity, we set out to create a sustainable solution that not only reduces waste but also promotes healthier cooking practices. Being on Shark Tank India has been an incredible experience, and we’re excited to share our vision with the Sharks. We believe our solution has the potential to revolutionize waste oil management, and we’re looking for the right partner to help us scale our operations.”
