IIMM Ahmedabad Branch Kick-starts NATCOM 2025 Preparations with Tree Plantation Drive on World Ozone Day

GUJARAT, AHMEDABAD | 14th SEPTEMBER 2025: The Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM), Ahmedabad Branch, inaugurated the preparations for its flagship event NATCOM 2025 with a tree plantation drive organized on the eve of World Ozone Day. A total of 1,000 saplings were planted to offset the carbon emissions expected from the conference, reaffirming IIMM’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from members and officials, all donning specially designed T-shirts and caps. Senior dignitaries present at the event included:

  • Other distinguished members of the fraternity

Among the notable participants were Mr. Jayanta Chakraborty, President NATCOM, Ms. Meenal Goswamy, Vice President NATCOM, Mr. Awadhesh Yadav, Chairman – Ahmedabad Branch, Mr. Talpesh Patel, Past Chairman, and Mr. D. K. Goswamy, Distinguished Member, Mr.Sanjaykalay EC memberwho joined with great enthusiasm.

  • Mr. L. R. Meena, National President, along with former Presidents Mr. Lalbhai Patel and Mr. Malay Mazumder, and Sr. VP Mr. P. M. Bidappa, praised the Ahmedabad Branch for this green initiative. They emphasized that tree plantation is a noble tribute to nature, and if every organization adopts such practices, it will significantly benefit the environment and future generations.

About NATCOM 2025

As part of its Golden Jubilee Year Celebrations, the IIMM Ahmedabad Branch will host NATCOM 2025 on 29th–30th November 2025 in Ahmedabad. Themed “Sustainable Supply Chain – A Pathway to Net Zero Carbon Footprint,” the two-day conference will bring together industry leaders, professionals, policymakers, and thought leaders to deliberate on:

  • ESG integration
  • Sustainable food systems
  • The transformative role of AI, IoT, Blockchain, and Big Data in supply chains

The event will feature participation from senior executives representing Hospital, Manufacturing, Power, Pharma, and IT industries. Discussions will span the entire supply chain process—from raw materials to the finished product reaching customers—highlighting the carbon emissions generated throughout. Eminent experts will present research papers and case studies addressing strategies for sustainable supply chains.
