Gujarat, Ahmedabad 13 March 2025: Renowned spiritual leader and Ram Katha exponent, Morari Bapu, has announced a contribution of Rs. 1 lakh for every new school built in tribal areas of Gujarat.
Morari Bapu made the announcement during his ongoing Ram Katha in Songadh in Tapi district. Tribal areas have been witnessing illegal religious conversion activities due to various reasons. During the Katha, a listener brought to Morari Bapu’s attention that there are very few schools in the region. The listener said that religious conversions are being carried out in the region under the pretext of providing free education and urged Morari Bapu to appeal to the government and the corporate sector to establish more schools to curb such activities.
Responding to this concern, Morari Bapu assured that whenever industrialists visit him, he will encourage them to build new schools in tribal areas. Additionally, he announced that Shree Chitrakut Dham Trust Talgajarda will donate Rs. 1 lakh for every new school established in the region.
It is worth noting that Morari Bapu expressed concerns over religious conversions in some villages during his Katha on Wednesday too. He described incidents where children were allegedly taught to compare religious symbols in a way that undermined their faith. However, Morari Bapu clarified that his intention was not to create divisions.
Gujarat’s Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi graced the Katha in Songadh on Thursday.
