Morari Bapu Commemorates Historic Dandi March

Songadh, Tapi 13 March 2025: Renowned spiritual leader and Ram Katha exponent, Morari Bapu, today invoked the historic significance of 12th March during his ongoing Ram Katha in Songadh, Tapi district. Marking the anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s iconic Dandi Yatra, Morari Bapu reflected on the immense sacrifices made for India’s independence and urged collective unity.

Addressing the gathering, Morari Bapu said, “Had the entire nation been divided, the British would have triumphed. That is why Mahatma Gandhi embarked on the Dandi Yatra on this very day. He declared that he would rather perish than return without reclaiming freedom. And when the decisive moment arrived, Gandhi Ji ensured that the nation attained independence.”

Mahatma Gandhi began the historic Dandi Yatra on March 12, 1930, from Sabarmati Ashram to challenge the salt tax levied by the British. He set out on foot accompanied by several dozen followers. The yatra culminated at Dandi in Navsari on April 6.

Highlighting the relevance of the historic event, Morari Bapu inspired listeners by saying, “Today is the 12th of March, the day the Dandi Yatra commenced. What is beyond our reach when these great leaders have illuminated the path for us?”

The ongoing Katha in Songadh is Morari Bapu’s 953rd Ram Katha and has drawn devotees from across the country and beyond. Morari Bapu’s teachings reinforce the timeless values of truth, love and compassion.
