Morari Bapu Inaugurates ST Bus Service Between Talgajarda and Salangpur

TALGAJARDA, GUJARAT | 05th MARCH 2026 — Renowned spiritual leader and Ramkatha narrator Morari Bapu formally inaugurated the ST bus service connecting Talgajarda and Salangpur today. The launch ceremony was conducted with traditional prayers, following which Morari Bapu undertook the first symbolic journey and conveyed his blessings with “naam smaran” (devotional chanting).

The bus service has been introduced by the Mahuva ST division in response to long-standing public demand and to enhance connectivity for devotees and local residents. The service aims to facilitate convenient travel between Talgajarda and Salangpur, home to the renowned shrine of Lord Hanuman, which attracts thousands of pilgrims each year.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation, dignitaries and members of the public. Among those present were noted folk artist Mayabhai Ahir, Mahuva Chamber of Commerce President Bachubhai Patel, Divisional ST Head Rajnikant Pilvaikar, Talgajarda sarpanch, and retired ST employee Rajnikant Devmurari, whose efforts played a key role in making the service to reality. A large number of devotees and local residents also marked their presence on the occasion.

It may be recalled that the Mahuva ST division had earlier introduced a Talgajarda–Dwarka bus service with the blessings of Morari Bapu, which received an encouraging response. Recognising the silent demand of devotees for improved access to Salangpur, the department extended full cooperation to operationalise this new route.

The daily bus will depart from Talgajarda at 10:30 am and travel via Talaja, Bhavnagar and Vallabhipur, reaching Salangpur at approximately 4:00 pm. The return journey will commence from Salangpur at 4:30 pm, arriving at Talgajarda at around 8:30 pm. The fare for the journey has been fixed at Rs.190.

During the inaugural journey, Mayabhai Ahir shared light-hearted anecdotes from his own travel experiences, adding warmth and humour to the occasion. Morari Bapu expressed his satisfaction and extended heartfelt good wishes for the success of this public service initiative.

ST officials indicated that a bus service from Talgajarda to Somnath, the site of the first Jyotirlinga, is also under consideration. The divisional head has reportedly expressed a positive approach towards launching this additional service in the near future.
