Srinagar 22 APRIL 2025: At least eight people lost their lives following flash floods and landslides in the wake of a cloudburst in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. The severe weather caused significant disruption across the region, with buildings collapsing, transport services and electricity supply disrupted, and many residents forced to relocate.
In view of the tragedy, renowned spiritual leader and Ram Katha exponent Morari Bapu, who is currently delivering a Ram Katha in Srinagar, expressed deep condolences for the loss of lives and the widespread suffering caused by the disaster.
As a gesture of solidarity and support, Morari Bapu dedicated a financial contribution of Rs. 25,000 each to the families of the deceased. The total assistance of Rs. 2,00,000 would be delivered by the patrons of the Srinagar Ram Katha to support the grieving families in this difficult hour.
Morari Bapu also offered prayers for the departed souls and wished for a swift recovery of those injured in the disaster.
Morari Bapu’s Ram Katha in Srinagar, a significant spiritual event in the Kashmir valley, began on Saturday and will continue till Sunday.
