GUJARAT, AHMEDABAD | 05th DECEMBER 2025 — A new Gujarati romantic comedy, Vande Bharat Via USA, starring Malhar Thakar, is set for a theatrical release on December 25. Produced by Asmaan Productions, Sake Spectacle, Dario, Word Wizard Entertainment, and Spacetime Movies, the film arrives at a time when Gujarati cinema is experiencing unprecedented momentum in India and overseas.
The Gujarati film industry’s confidence has grown significantly following the extraordinary Rs. 100 crore run of Laalo, which has helped elevate the industry’s standing and demonstrated its commercial potential. With a firm belief that Gujarati films can now compete with other major regional industries, the makers of Vande Bharat Via USA aim to offer audiences a fresh and contemporary storytelling experience.
Backed by producers Alex Bhagat, Kishan Dholiya, Rutuja Mane, Himanshu Solanki, and Wardwizard Entertainment, the film follows the journey of Rohan, a young Gujarati man living in the United States. Struggling with an expired work permit and no company willing to hire him, he turns to increasingly unconventional methods to secure permanent residency and a Green Card.
His final attempt, seeking to marry an American woman, sets off a chain of humorous situations that raise the question of whether Rohan will finally obtain his Green Card or face an unexpected “red card”. Audiences will discover the answer when the film releases this Christmas.
Malhar Thakar leads the cast, with Pooja Jhaveri, Kylie Pierson, and Asit Vyas in key supporting roles. The music has been composed by Parth Bharat Thakkar. Written and directed by Jaimin Patel, the film also features editing, additional screenplay, and dialogue by Rahul Bhole.
The film aims to deliver an entertaining festive release while offering a humorous take on the aspirations and dilemmas faced by young migrants in the US. The team hopes to continue Gujarati cinema’s strong run and broaden its audience both in India and overseas.
Vande Bharat Via USA will release in cinemas across Gujarat and other major markets on December 25.
