Gujarat, Ahmedabad 24th January 2025: ‘Sky Force’, featuring Akshay Kumar along with Veer Pahariya in the lead roles, has released in theatres. The film, which was Bollywood’s new Republic Day release, marked Veer Pahariya’s first outing as an actor. The actor is seen playing T Vijaya aka Toddy in the film, a role inspired by Squadron Leader AjjamadaBoppayaDevayya. A recipient of Maha Vir Chakra, Devayya is celebrated for his valour and iconic dogfight against enemy jets during the 1965 Indo-Pak War, and Veer Pahariya as Toddy has been receiving immense praise for effortlessly portraying the legend’s life on screen.
While a critic called Veer Pahariya’s debut performance “explosive”, a social media user expressed that Pahariya’s debut is “as groundbreaking as Hrithik Roshan’s in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai!” Audiences have also praised Pahariya for his on-screen presence and charm, further establishing him as B-town’s newest star in the making. Recently, Pahariya spoke about how Sky Force is more than a career launch for him. “This experience [of working on Sky Force] has taught me resilience and the value of collaboration,” he shared.
In ‘Sky Force’, Pahariya shares screen space with Akshay Kumar. As a debutant, the actor has been able to hold his stance against the seasoned actor, a quality that is being lauded by critics as well as the audience. “Veer Pahariya should have been the lead of this film, not Akshay Kumar,” a review read. Apart from Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, the film also stars Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, Sky Force is being tagged as a perfect tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the men and women in the Indian Air Force. It is being called the best debut for Pahariya, paving a smooth path towards his stardom in the tinsel town.
