Comprehensive and family-centric model in the field of de-addiction and mental healthcare is an inspiring example for Gujarat and the country – PSY Pandya
AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 18th SEPTEMBER 2026 | Ahmedabad-based leading psychologist Bijal Pandya, who has been working in the field of mental health for more than a decade, recently visited Alpha Healing Centre located near Jambughoda in Panchmahal district. Pandya, who specialises in psychotherapy, hypnotherapy and soft skills training, gained an in-depth understanding of the centre’s treatment methodologies and rehabilitation programmes during her visit.
Spread across a private 20-acre campus, Alpha Healing Centre provides comprehensive and scientifically based treatment for alcohol and substance addiction, as well as other forms of addiction and mental health conditions such as depression, trauma, OCD and bipolar disorder. The centre is also ISO-certified and operates under clinical governance with Fortis Group’s Adayu. It provides round-the-clock supervision by psychiatrists and maintains a staff-to-patient ratio of one staff member for every six patients.
During her visit, Bijal Pandya interacted with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, expressive art and music therapists, and yoga instructors. She also observed advanced treatment approaches, including RTMS and VR-based therapy. She further learned about the centre’s comprehensive rehabilitation programmes incorporating yoga, meditation, mindfulness and family therapy.
