TALGAJARDA, BHAVNAGAR | 10th AUGUST 2026 | Talgajarda village in Gujarat has taken a significant step towards sustainable development with the installation of solar panels across the village, supported by spiritual leader Morari Bapu and Shri Chitrakutdham Trust. The initiative aims to promote renewable energy, reduce electricity costs for residents and contribute to environmental protection.
Morari Bapu has often emphasised through his Ramkathas that spirituality should translate into constructive action and serve society. His approach has consistently placed the needs of disadvantaged and underprivileged sections of society at the centre of social initiatives undertaken through Shri Chitrakutdham Trust. As part of his Ramkatha messages, Morari Bapu also encourages people to set aside a portion of their income for society and those in need. In keeping with this philosophy, the solar power initiative seeks to create a lasting benefit for the entire village.
Some time ago, Surat-based industrialist Shri Ghanshyam Shankar (Lathi) expressed his desire to make a substantial contribution for the people of Talgajarda. Morari Bapu suggested that the contribution be used to install solar panels in the village.
Following the suggestion, solar panels have now been installed across Talgajarda, marking a new phase in the village’s development. The transition to solar energy has begun to reduce residents’ electricity bills. The initiative has been undertaken with support from Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL).
The solar initiative seeks to promote green energy adoption, environmental conservation and greater awareness of sustainable living, adding another dimension to the community-oriented development work associated with Morari Bapu and Shri Chitrakutdham Trust.
Talgajarda has also witnessed several other community-focused initiatives in recent years. Under the Nirmal Gram Yojana, toilets were constructed in households across the village. In another initiative, around 10,000 trees were planted in the village to enhance its green cover.
