AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 02nd JULY 2026 | Young Indians (Yi) Ahmedabad Chapter, an initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), has successfully conducted more than 20 sessions of its flagship Yi S.E.N.S.E. (Social Etiquette & Nurturing Social Ethics) programme across schools in Ahmedabad, positively impacting 11,453 students within just one week.
The Yi S.E.N.S.E. initiative goes beyond conventional classroom learning by helping students understand the importance of civic responsibility, empathy, environmental consciousness, road safety, digital citizenship, respect for public property, and ethical decision-making. Through highly interactive activities, storytelling, real-life examples, and engaging discussions, students are encouraged to become responsible citizens and “Everyday Heroes.”
The programme aims to nurture values that contribute towards building a cleaner, safer, more respectful, and socially responsible society. Students are introduced to practical habits such as maintaining cleanliness, conserving natural resources, following traffic rules, respecting public spaces, practising kindness both offline and online, and making ethical choices in their everyday lives.
The overwhelming response received from school managements, teachers, and students reflects the growing need for value-based education alongside academics. The participating schools appreciated the engaging format of the sessions and the positive behavioural messages delivered to students.
Speaking on the achievement, the Yi Ahmedabad team stated: “Education is not only about academic excellence; it is equally about creating responsible citizens. Through Yi S.E.N.S.E., we hope every child carries these values beyond the classroom and becomes an Everyday Hero who inspires positive change.”
Young Indians Ahmedabad remains committed to expanding the Yi S.E.N.S.E. initiative and reaching many more schools in the coming months, contributing towards nation-building by nurturing socially aware and responsible future citizens.
